Our Six-Step Pressure-First Protocol
We follow the same procedure on every refill, residential or commercial. The point is to catch leaks before, not after, paying for fresh gas.
- Manifold attachment. Gauges go onto the low and high service ports.
- Baseline reading. Pressure is compared against the factory specification for your specific HP rating and refrigerant.
- Leak hunting. Soap bubble test on every flare nut, then an electronic sniffer along the brazed joints inside the outdoor unit.
- Minor leak repair. Pinhole leaks can usually be re-soldered on the spot at no extra charge.
- Vacuum pumping. The system is evacuated to remove moisture before any new charge is added.
